about DASH Internship

Why This Internship?

Breaking into tech or management is tough when you don’t have practical experience.

This internship bridges that gap.

We don’t just teach theory – we give you hands-on opportunities to manage real projects, work with developers and designers, and learn the day-to-day skills of a project/product manager.

By the end of this program, you’ll not only understand the tools and processes but also know how to navigate real-world challenges like team standups, client communication, and sprint planning.

Overview of the 12-Week Project Management Internship

  1. Foundations (Weeks 1–3): You’ll learn the core principles of product development and project management – how ideas move from conception to delivery, how SDLC frameworks work, and why documentation and communication are at the heart of successful teams. You will also master practical planning systems that help you translate yearly goals into daily tasks, and learn how to communicate clearly, ask the right questions, and manage stakeholders with confidence.
  2. Process & Documentation Skills (Weeks 4 – 6): You’ll gain hands-on skills in building internal processes, writing SOPs, mapping workflows, and documenting features. You will learn how to create clear, structured, unambiguous documentation, and how to think about product development through the lens of MVPs – identifying core value, scoping tightly, and avoiding overbuilding.
  3. Execution & Ownership (Weeks 7 – 10): This phase teaches you how to work like an autonomous PM. You’ll learn how to break down work, prioritize intelligently, manage your weekly execution, track progress professionally, and deliver work on time. You’ll also learn how to evaluate MVP readiness, validate features, and take a product from idea → plan → execution → review. This is where you start behaving like a real product manager.
  4. Commercial & Team Reality (Weeks 11 – 12): You’ll learn the soft-hard skills needed to operate in real organizations – ownership mindset, influencing without authority, managing relationships, and professional etiquette. You’ll also complete a capstone project where you plan, document, execute, track, and present a real product end-to-end.
  5. Personal Professional Development: Throughout the internship, you’ll build confidence, develop critical thinking, improve decision-making with incomplete data, strengthen personal discipline, and learn how to work without micromanagement. You will learn how to communicate smartly, reflect properly, and follow through consistently.
  6. Product-Specific Ownership Training: Each intern will own one product and learn how to understand its long-term vision, track its health, maintain its documentation, and set quarterly direction. You’ll learn how to think like a product owner – not just a task executor.
